COVID-19 | BUSINESS CONTINUITY
Axil want to assure all of our customers and partners that we have taken all the necessary steps to reduce risks and to safeguard staff, customers and suppliers and counter any of the expected scenarios that may present from the Covid-19 virus in the UK.
Our staff have been advised to utilise video conferencing where possible, to avoid unnecessary travel between sites. Where visits are essential, we will be asking all visitors to our Cannock and Corby sites to complete a questionnaire, asking if they have been to or through a category 1 country.
Our core administration and compliance systems are cloud based and we operate them from two separate sites, Corby and Cannock, giving us some resilience. In addition, our staff are able to work from home using our own I.T. with full systems access and telephony. This means that we are very confident that our administration and customer service will continue without interruption.
Drivers and Operatives who are unable to work from home are aware of government and NHS advice around social distancing and additional hygiene measures. To minimise on-site contact we will operate our electronic ticket systems where possible, eliminating the need for signatures.
Waste services at our customer sites are expected to continue and our supply partners have strength and depth. Having multiple supply partners for each customer site means that we can continue to deliver services.
We also have storage capacity at Cannock for a wide range of hazardous wastes and have a robust mix of transport options ranging from our own vehicles to an extensive supplier base.
We have a flexible, geographically dispersed work force supported by robust business process and flexible supplier base which should allow us to cope with issues relating to Covid-19.
We are taking every step possible to deliver our services as normal to you, our valued customer/supplier.
Thank you for your cooperation.
