The British Standards Institute audits Axil on an annual basis and requires that we demonstrate an on-going positive waste compliance
with the requirements of ISO.
Axil is certified to the following standards:
Permits, Licences & Policies
Auditing & Compliance
We carry out an internal audit of each Axil operational site on a monthly basis and every customer site, where we have site-based staff, on a quarterly basis.
The waste audit reviews the effectiveness of our Integrated Management System as well as the operations and work activities undertaken at the site.
Axil will only operate where it is safe and legal to do so and is our number one priority. We continually engage with external consultants to audit, review and improve all aspects of health and safety for all our employees and our customers.
We believe a culture of zero harm is attainable and have been working to achieve interdependence within Health & Safety. We have developed investigation systems to understand the root and underlying causes of significant near misses and incidents and chair H&S committee meetings with representatives of employee health and safety. We have also developed systems that produce measured improvement in working practices and general housekeeping.
These methods have been successfully used to satisfy the requirements of various ISO standards and deliver measurable continual improvement.
