Axil, a leading total waste management and resource recovery partner, partnered with WasteBot, a specialist provider of automation solutions for the waste sector, to drive operational excellence across its business.
The project brought together Axil’s waste management expertise and WasteBot’s sector-specific automation technology. Axil has automated a portion of its invoice processing, with every automated transaction checked and validated to a consistent standard, at a scale and speed manual processing cannot match.
The result is that Axil’s teams have more capacity to spend on the things customers value most: site support, cost and carbon reduction, and finding better routes for their materials.
Richard Delooze, Managing Director of WasteBot, said:
“We’re delighted to have partnered with Axil, an organisation that shares our commitment to
innovation and continuous improvement within the waste management sector.
“Our work with Axil shows what automation can deliver when it is applied properly.
Accuracy at volume, and consistency at every step.
“We’re looking forward to helping more organisations realise
the potential of automation and AI technologies.”
Ed Morgan-Smith, Senior Advisor at Axil, added:

“Technology and innovation are central to how we serve our customers. Working with WasteBot allowed us to apply proven automation to high-volume processes where precision and consistency matter most.
“The time this saves is significant, and it means our teams can focus on continuing to innovate for our customers and on reducing their cost and carbon.”
WasteBot’s software robots replicate and integrate human interactions across digital systems, processing routine business transactions with speed, accuracy and consistency at a scale that would otherwise be impossible. With a combined 35 years of experience in waste management and automation technology, the WasteBot team has developed a comprehensive library of sector-specific automations built around the realities of how waste businesses operate.
The project shows what waste management businesses can achieve by embracing digital transformation and the benefits that intelligent automation can deliver.
