Yes, you read that right! This Christmas Axil is re-gifting, but if we’re being completely honest, we’ve been re-gifting all year!
We would say don’t tell, but we’re in the business of talking the talk and walking the walk when it comes to the re-use opportunities.
Why we re-gift
Surplus assets and products arise from many sources: failed deliveries, branding changes, misprints, seasonal campaigns, and short shelf lives. Traditionally, these materials would have gone to disposal.
Axil’s approach turns that thinking upside down. Axil champions redistribution and reuse –aligning with the waste hierarchy and prioritising prevention.
And in 2025, that model delivered real results.
Here’s how we’ve turned surplus into social value in 2025:
Freezers Find New Life
When a leading FMCG brand had 73 redundant freezers destined for recycling, Axil stepped in. By connecting the assets to our national reuse networks, they were rehomed via an approved treatment centre and distributed to communities in need across South Wales.

Pallets with Purpose
Partnering with Crown Packaging, Peterborough, we rehomed around 1 tonne of pallets that couldn’t be used in the UK due to size constraints. Instead of being scrapped, they became raw materials for The Norfolk Hospice, which runs woodworking sessions for patients under palliative care.

USB Car Chargers re-distributed – CMD
CMD Ltd, 400 surplus but functional USB car chargers were an unavoidable by product of a rebrand. Destined for incineration, generating unnecessary waste, cost and carbon emissions, CMD did something different.
Through Axil’s charitable networks, they were redistributed to create income for UK charities that support people in need. This approach didn’t just prevent waste; it embedded circular actions at the heart of operations, kept materials in use, and avoided unnecessary emissions. A collaboration that transformed surplus into opportunity and business decisions into community benefit.

Masks for Care – BEKO Peterborough
24,000 in-date hygiene masks, destined for incineration, found new purpose when Axil facilitated their donation to Peterborough Care, a network of five local care homes.

The Impact of Reuse
Our pioneering partnership with our network of re-use charities and social enterprises is rooted in zero waste principles, ensuring that surplus manufactured products are redistributed, not discarded. Since 2023, over 60,000 products have been diverted from disposal and redistributed to more than 1100 charities across the UK—transforming potential waste into vital resources.
