Chief Executive
Founder of Axil, Ed has 30+ years in business services, with 15 dedicated to waste management. His leadership has seen Axil flourish into a 200-strong team, prioritising internal promotions and driving customer profitability through recycling. Ed enjoys British culture, travel, cricket, rugby, and dabbles in beekeeping and dog training.
Phil Newbury
Chief Operating Officer
Phil brings expertise in hazardous waste management and technical compliance to Axil, with a strong focus on systems and safety leadership. His strategic approach and proficiency in data-driven waste solutions drive continuous improvement and ensure rigorous adherence to regulatory standards, reinforcing Axil’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.
Tom Seward
Chief Commercial Officer
Tom brings over 21 years of experience in the environmental and resource recovery sector, having held senior roles across waste management, outsourced services, and battery recycling. His deep industry knowledge and commercial insight strengthen Axil’s drive for innovation and sustainable solutions.
Paul Jezzard
Chief Financial Officer
Paul brings 20+ years’ Board-level experience to drive strategic growth, deliver M&A expertise, and build scalable financial frameworks. As Executive Board member and Company Secretary, he ensures finance is a strategic enabler for the business, supporting long-term success and sustainable growth.
