The Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Site Manger to join our expanding operations Team at our Peterborough site.
Job Summary
- Lead site team/s to ensure waste streams are collected and segregated correctly
- Working with all site staff assisting with the smooth operation of client site
- Provide client with waste segregation best practice
- Provide Health and safety support whilst on site, ensuring site adhere to HS&E policies and procedures
- Ensure all health & safety reports are completed in full
- Ensure all staff are working in a safe manner at all times
Responsibilities
- Day to day site lead requirements
- Conduct any appropriate staff management needed on site
- Ensure you are a role model for other employees – conduct and behaviour
- Monitor skips/ containers to ensure they are not overloaded
- Conduct any investigations on site to find the root cause of any accidents/incidents.
- Ensure Health & safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Time management of the site staff controlled by Axil is to be conducted on a daily basis
- Monitor employee activities and provide guidance where needed
- Encourage a positive work environment and culture for all employees and ensure compliance with all safety policies
- Deliver suitable training for all team members, delivery of regular team briefings via toolbox talks and plant briefs
- Deliver improvements in processes to help deliver cost reduction
- Carry out regular auditing/ observations of all operations carried out at site by Axil staff
- Motivate, train and develop staff
- Carry out any other such reasonable job-related tasks as the company or customer may require you to undertake from time to time
- Conduct any site-specific tasks in conjunction with the customer to ensure all HS&E requirements are met and sustained
- Be flexible in working hours to meet the needs of the business
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Driving licence
- Knowledge of waste management site and processes (Desirable)
- IT Skills, (Microsoft Office / Excel / Lotus Notes)

- Hazardous Waste knowledge / experience (Desirable)
- Communication at all levels
- Focus on site customer needs

Qualifications
- IOSH (Desirable)
