1. Tell us a little about yourself and your role within Axil-IS?

I began my journey with Axil in July 2022 as I enrolled on a business administration apprenticeship with Bedford college. Before taking on this role I held no experience of working in the waste industry or in an office environment, however I am really enjoying the experience.

4. How are you finding the balance between the apprenticeship work and your actual role?

Balancing my apprenticeship workload and assignments alongside my actual job role has been a breeze as my manager allows me to work on tasks while I’m in the office and is supportive with my assignments. I have 6 week reviews with both my assessor and manager to discuss my progress of the course and training in the work place and job satisfaction. These teams’ meetings are a great opportunity for me to ask any questions to my assessor or manager regarding the workload or my wellbeing.
